“The Dartford and Gravesham Green Party are against the proposed Lower Thames Crossing Option C. We also don’t want to see the Crossing sited upriver, at Dartford, where air pollution levels are already dangerously high.
Instead of pursuing a short sighted, car-centric approach to transport, we want to see more sustainable and long term solutions explored. We want investment in ports and rail infrastructure – to see freight moved from the roads to more efficient, less polluting and more sustainable methods. We want reliable, affordable and joined-up public transport, as well as car-sharing incentives to reduce road traffic and congestion.
If elected, this is the progress I will be fighting for.”
